PAC-08-A-002-S 08 JAN 08 (SEARCH) ANCHORAGE CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT and aircraft reports of an ELT in the Anchorage (ANC) area. ANC CAP was tasked and responded with a ground search team which successfully located the non-distress ELT in an upper hillside residence, and secured it. The ANC CAP ground team searched for 4.5 hours and claimed $14.82 for expenses. No credits awarded.

PAC-08-A-004-S 19 JAN 08 (SEARCH) KENAI CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT and aircraft reports of an ELT in the Soldotna area. Kenai CAP was tasked and responded with a ground search team and a search aircraft. While the CAP assets were in the search area, local pilots at the Sterling Airstrip located the non-distress ELT and secured it. Kenai CAP flew one sortie for 1.4 hours, and their ground team searched for 4.0 hours claiming $76.44 for expenses. No credits awarded.

PAC-08-A-006-S 19 JAN 08 (SEARCH) MATANUSKA-SUSITNA CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT and aircraft reports of an ELT in the Wasilla area. Matanuska-Susitna (MAT-SU) CAP was tasked and responded with a ground search team which successfully located the non-distress ELT at the Wasilla high school, and secured it. The MAT-SU CAP ground team searched for 2.0 hours and claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.

PAC-08-A-009-A 30 JAN 08 (ASSIST) KOTZEBUE CAP
Mission opened in response to a request for assistance from the AK State Troopers (AST) to search for an overdue snowmachiner traveling from Kivalina to Kotzebue (OTZ). OTZ CAP was tasked and responded with a search aircraft; however poor weather prevented the CAP aircraft from taking off. The overdue snowmachiner was subsequently located unharmed by a ground search team and taken to Kivalina. OTZ CAP flew no sorties or hours. No credits awarded.
