PAC-07-A-141-A 06 OCT 07 (ASSIST) KOTZEBUE CAP
Mission opened in response to a request for assistance from the Alaska State Troopers (AST) to search for an overdue boater in the Kotzebue area near Kobuk Lake. Kotzebue (OTZ) CAP was tasked and responded with a search aircraft which located the overdue boater. The OTZ CAP aircraft directed a ground team to the location, and the ground team recovered the boater and transported him to OTZ. OTZ cap flew one sortie for 1.4 hours. One save awarded.

PAC-07-A-144-S 10 OCT 07 (SAR) HOMER CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT in the Homer area. Homer CAP was tasked and responded with a ground search team, which located the non-distress ELT in a hangared aircraft and secured it. The Homer CAP ground team searched for 1.0 hours and claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.

PAC-07-A-145-S 13 OCT 07 (SAR) FAIRBANKS CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT in the Eielson area. Fairbanks (FAI) cap was tasked and responded with a ground search team however they were unable to locate the source of the ELT, which subsequently moved towards Ft. Wainwright. RCC contacted the Ft Wainwright P.O.C. and requested a field check. The P.O.C. located and silenced the non-distress ELT in a parked UH-60 helicopter. FAI CAP searched for 1.4 hours and claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.

PAC-07-A-146-S 19 OCT 07 (SAR) ELMENDORF CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT in Palmer. Elmendorf (EDF) CAP was tasked and responded with two ground search teams. The first ground team localized the ELT signal to the Wasilla area prior to departing the search area. The second ground team located and secured the non-distress ELT in a parked aircraft. The EDF CAP ground teams searched for 9.7 hours and claimed $52.00 for expenses. No credits awarded.

PAC-07-A-147-S 21 OCT 07 (SAR) ANCHORAGE CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT in the Talkeetna area. Anchorage (ANC) was tasked and diverted a search aircraft to the area. The ANC CAP localized the source of the ELT near some residences on Petersville road west of Talkeetna. The owner of the ELT notified Talkeetna flight service while the ANC CAP aircrew was on the ground there. He reported that he was performing maintenance on his aircraft and later silenced the non-distress ELT. Three missed passes received. The ANC cap flew one sortie for 2.1 hours. No credits awarded.
