PAC-07-A-064-A 02 JUN 07 (ASSIST) JUNEAU CAP
Mission opened in response to a request for assistance from USCG D17 to search for an overdue (o/d) 45 year-old woman in the Gustavus area suffering from depression and suicidal intentions. Juneau (JNU) CAP was tasked and responded with a search aircraft which transported civilian search dog teams to the area, and provided aerial search assistance. The o/d woman was located and recovered by an AST ground search team on a boat near the Gustavus harbor. JNU CAP flew three sorties for 3.3 hours. One save awarded.
PAC-07-A-065-S 06 JUN 07 (SAR) ANCHORAGE CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT and aircraft reports of an ELT in the anchorage (ANC) area. ANC CAP was tasked and responded with a ground search team which located the non-distress ELT in an aircraft in a hangar near Lake Hood Seaplane Base, and secured it. The ANC CAP ground team searched for 3.0 hours and claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.
PAC-07-A-066-S 07 JUN 07 (SAR) FAIRBANKS CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT near the Fairbanks International Airport. The Fairbanks (FAI) CAP was tasked and responded with a ground search team which located and silenced the non-distress ELT in a parked aircraft on the east ramp of Fairbanks airport. The FAI CAP ground team searched for 1.0 hours and claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.
PAC-07-A-067-S 08 JUN 07 (SAR) AK STATE TROOPERS & BETHEL CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT and aircraft reports of an ELT near Bethel (BET). The AK State Troopers (AST) in BET were tasked and responded with a search aircraft. Additionally, BET CAP was tasked and responded with a ground search team. The non-distress ELT was located and secured in an aircraft parked on the south ramp of the BET airport. BET AST flew one sortie for 0.5 hours. The BET CAP ground team searched for 0.5 hours and claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.
PAC-07-A-068-S 10 JUN 07 (SAR) ANCHORAGE CAP & BIRCHWOOD CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT and aircraft reports of an ELT in the Chickaloon area. Anchorage (ANC) and Birchwood (BCV) CAP squadrons were tasked and responded with search aircraft and ground teams which located the non-distress ELT in a parked aircraft at Finger Lake, and secured it. Anchorage CAP flew two sorties for 6.4 hours, and their ground search team searched for 2.5 hours claiming $21.20 for expenses. The BCV CAP ground team searched for 1.6 hours and claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.
PAC-07-A-069-A 10 JUN 07 (ASSIST) FAIRBANKS CAP
Mission opened in response to a request for assistance from the AK State Troopers (AST) in Fairbanks (FAI), to search for an overdue hiker near the Chetanika River. The missing hiker was lightly clothed, had no water or survival gear, and was not familiar with the local area. FAI CAP was tasked and provided search aircraft, which extensively searched the entire area. The overdue was located by the Alaska State Troopers and transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. FAI CAP flew 3 sorties for 6.7 hours. One save awarded.
PAC-07-A-072-A 13 JUN 07 (ASSIST) GULKANA CAP
Mission opened in response to aircraft and SARSAT reports of an ELT in the Gulkana (GKN) area, and a request for assistance by the National Park Service to search for the ELT. GKN CAP was tasked and responded with a search aircraft, which searched the area with negative results. The ELT subsequently ceased transmissions and three SARSAT missed passes were received. GKN CAP flew one sortie for 0.5 hours. No credits awarded.

Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT near Fairbanks (FAI). FAI CAP was tasked and responded with a ground search team which located the non-distress ELT in a storage container and secured it. The FAI CAP ground team searched for 2.0 hours and claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.
PAC-07-A-075-S 17 JUN 07 (SAR) KENAI CAP & ANCHORAGE CAP
Mission opened in response to multiple SARSAT reports of an ELT located near Merrill Pass. Kenai (ENA) CAP was tasked and responded with a search aircraft which was unable to localized the ELT signal to an airborne floatplane, which subsequently landed at Anchorage (ANC). ANC CAP was then tasked and responded with a ground search team which located the non-distress ELT in a moored floatplane at Lake Hood seaplane base and secured it. ENA CAP flew one sortie for 2.8 hours and the ANC CAP ground team search for 2.3 hours claiming no expenses. No credits awarded.
PAC-07-A-076-S 25 JUN 07 (SAR) BIRCHWOOD CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT and aircraft reports of an ELT in the Palmer area. The Palmer Airport manager attempted to locate the ELT with negative results. Birchwood (BCV) CAP was tasked and responded with a ground search team which located the non-distress ELT in a parked aircraft at the Palmer Airport and secured it. The BCV CAP ground team searched for 0.8 hours and claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.
PAC-07-A-077-S 26 JUN 07 (SAR) KENAI CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an EPIRB near Kenai (ENA). ENA CAP was tasked and responded with a ground search team however the EPIRB ceased prior to the ground team arriving on scene. The ENA CAP ground team searched for 1.0 hours and claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.
PAC-07-A-078-A 27 JUN 07 (ASSIST) KENAI CAP
Mission opened in response to an AK State Trooper (AST) request for assistance in locating a missing person from an over-turned canoe on the Kenai River. Kenai (ENA) CAP was tasked and responded with a search aircraft. The search results were negative and AST released ENA CAP from the search. ENA CAP flew one sortie for 1.6 hours. One missing.
