PAC-07-A-097-S 03 AUG 07 (SAR) EIELSON CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT and airborne reports of an ELT near Eielson (EIL). EIL CAP was tasked to respond with a search aircraft, however the ELT ceased prior to the CAP aircraft’s departure. EIL CAP flew no sorties or hours. No credits awarded.

PAC-07-A-098-S 03 AUG 07 (SAR) KENAI CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT near Kenai (ENA). ENA CAP was tasked and responded with an aircraft and crew which localized the ELT to a group of parked aircraft east of the Soldotna airport. The CAP crew called an individual they knew in that area who found the non-distress ELT and shut it off. ENA CAP flew one sortie for 0.8 hours. No credits awarded.

PAC-07-A-100-S 07 AUG 07 (SAR) KENAI CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT in the Kenai area. Kenai CAP was tasked and responded with a ground search team which located and secured the non-distress EPIRB, in a locker at the Kenai Harbor. The Kenai CAP ground team searched for 3.1 hours and claimed $43.46 for expenses. No credits awarded.

PAC-07-A-102-S 11 AUG 07 (SAR) BETHEL CAP & AK STATE TROOPERS
Mission opened in response to an AK State Troopers (AST) report of an overdue (o/d) aircraft flying from Bethel (BET) to Napaimiut. BET CAP was tasked and responded with a search aircraft. AST also responded with a search aircraft, which located the o/d aircraft safe on the ground at Napaimiut. AST flew one sortie for 1.6 hours, and bet CAP flew one sortie for 0.9 hours. Three located.

PAC-07-A-103-S 13 AUG 07 (SAR) ANCHORAGE CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT and aircraft reports of an ELT near Talkeetna. Anchorage (ANC) CAP was tasked and responded with a search aircraft. Prior to the CAP aircraft reaching the search area, a volunteer aircraft located the non-distress ELT in an aircraft moored on Christianson Lake. The aircraft's pilot secured the ELT and the CAP aircraft returned to ANC. ANC CAP flew one sortie for 1.9 hours. No credits awarded.

PAC-07-A-104-S 14 AUG 07 (SAR) BIRCHWOOD CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT near Wasilla. Birchwood (BCV) CAP was tasked and responded with a ground search team which located the non-distress ELT in a hangared aircraft at Wolf Lake and secured it. The owner had just installed the ELT earlier in the day and accidentally set it off. The BCV CAP ground team searched for 7.0 hours and claimed $31.49 for expenses. No credits awarded.

PAC-07-A-108-S 20 AUG 07 (SAR) ANCHORAGE CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT in the anchorage (ANC) area. ANC CAP was tasked and responded with a ground search team which located and secured the non-distress ELT, in a parked aircraft at the O’Malley airstrip. The ANC CAP ground team searched for 2.0 hours and claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.

PAC-07-A-110-S 27 AUG 07 (SAR) EIELSON CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT near Eielson AFB (EIL). EIL CAP was tasked and responded with a search aircraft and a ground search team which located and secured the non-distress ELT in an aircraft parked at the airway subdivision airstrip near North Pole. EIL CAP flew one sortie for 2.4 hours, and their ground team searched for 7.7 hours and claimed $110.35 in expenses. No credits awarded.

PAC-07-A-112-A 31 AUG 07 (ASSIST) NOME CAP
Mission opened in response to a request for assistance from the AK State Troopers (AST) in Nome to search for an overdue (o/d) sixteen year old female who failed to return from a day outing in the Nome area. She was lightly clothed and familiar with the local area. Nome CAP was tasked and responded with a search aircraft, which extensively searched the area with negative results. The o/d girl was located non-distress two days after her absence during a door-to-door search. Nome CAP flew one sortie for 1.8 hours. One located awarded.
