PAC-07-A-026-S 02 APR 07 (SAR) ANCHORAGE CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT near Lake Hood. Anchorage (ANC) was tasked and responded with a ground search team which localized the signal to a hangar at Lake Hood. The owner of the aircraft inside the hangar was contacted and subsequently secured the non-distress ELT in. The ANC CAP ground team searched for 1.0 hours and claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.
PAC-07-A-027-S 05 APR 07 (SAR) BETHEL CAP
Mission opened in response to FAA reports of an ELT in the Bethel area. Bethel CAP (BET CAP) was tasked and responded with a ground search team which located the non-distress ELT in a hangared airplane, and secured it. The BET CAP ground team searched for 0.4 hours and claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.
PAC-07-A-028-S 06 APR 07 (SAR) BIRCHWOOD CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT near the Birchwood (BCV) airport. BCV CAP was tasked and responded with a ground search team which located the non-distress ELT in a box in a hangar, and secured it. The box was next to an aircraft undergoing maintenance. The BCV CAP ground team searched for 0.7 hours and claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.
PAC-07-A-029-S 07 APR 07 (SAR) HOMER CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT in Homer. Homer CAP was tasked and responded with a search aircraft. They localized the ELT signal to Kachemak Bay and could not locate any vessels in apparent distress. The mission was then turned over to USCG District 17. Homer CAP flew one sortie for 2.6 hours. No credits awarded.
PAC-07-A-030-S 07 APR 07 (SAR) ANCHORAGE CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT in Anchorage (ANC). ANC CAP was tasked and responded with a ground search team however they were unable to locate the source of the ELT, which subsequently ceased transmissions. The ANC CAP ground team searched for 2.0 hours and claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.
PAC-07-A-032-S 17 APR 07 (SAR) SEWARD CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT near Cordova. Seward (SWD) CAP was tasked and responded with a search aircraft which localized the ELT signal to a boat storage area south of the Cordova harbor, but were unable to locate the source of the ELT which subsequently ceased transmissions. SWD CAP flew one sortie for 2.6 hours. No credits awarded.
PAC-07-A-034-S 20 APR 07 (SAR) EIELSON CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT in the Delta Junction area. Eielson (EIL) CAP was tasked and responded with a search aircraft, however prior to their arrival in the search area, civilian ground personnel at Delta Airmotive Airstrip were able to locate and secure the non-distress ELT, which was in an aircraft undergoing maintenance. EIL CAP flew one sortie for 1.7 hours. No credits awarded.
PAC-07-A-035-S 24 APR 07 (SAR) ANCHORAGE CAP
Mission opened in response to aircraft and SARSAT reports of an ELT in the Anchorage (ANC) area. ANC CAP was tasked and responded with a ground search team which located the non-distress ELT in a parked aircraft on the north side of ANC International Airport. The owner was contacted and secured his ELT. The ANC CAP ground team searched for 0.3 hours and claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.
PAC-07-A-036-S 25 APR 07 (SAR) ANCHORAGE CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT and aircraft reports of an ELT near the Lake Hood Airport in Anchorage (ANC). ANC CAP was tasked and responded with a ground search team which located the non-distress ELT in a parked aircraft. The owner was notified and he secured the ELT. The aircraft had recently undergone maintenance. The ANC CAP ground team searched for 0.5 hours and claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.
PAC-07-A-037-S 26 APR 07 (SAR) ANCHORAGE CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT and aircraft reports of an ELT near the Lake Hood Airport in Anchorage (ANC). ANC CAP was tasked and responded with a ground search team which located the non-distress ELT in a parked aircraft. The aircraft had recently undergone maintenance. A maintainer from the facility was on scene and removed the battery from the faulty ELT. The ANC CAP ground team searched for 0.2 hours and claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.
PAC-07-A-039-S 29 APR 07 (SAR) EIELSON CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT in the Fairbanks area. Eielson (EIL) CAP was tasked and responded with both a search aircraft and a ground search team however they were unable to locate the source of the ELT, which subsequently ceased transmissions. EIL CAP flew one sortie for 1.2 hours and their ground team searched for 1.0 hours, and claimed $18.00 for expenses. No credits awarded.
PAC-07-A-040-S 30 APR 07 (SAR) ANCHORAGE CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT in the Northway area. Thereafter the ELT migrated toward anchorage. Anchorage (ANC) CAP was tasked and responded with a ground search team which located the ELT in a helicopter inside a trailer at Lake Hood, which had recently arrived from Northway. The ANC CAP ground team searched for 1.0 hours and claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.
