Another ANC CAP acft airborne on a training flight spotted a downed acft near Pt Mackenzie. The second ANC CAP acft was tasked, established contact with the uninjured mishap pilot and determined that he had arranged for a friend to come and retrieve him. The second ANC CAP acft remained on scene until the mishap pilot was picked up. The ELT signal persisted so the 210 and 212 RQS were tasked and responded with an HH-60 and pararescuemen (pj`s), which localized the source of the ELT signal to a residence near Willow. Birchwood (BCV) CAP was then tasked and responded with a ground team which located the non-distress ELT in the passenger seat of an automobile and secured it. ANC CAP flew two sorties for 3.4 hours.
