PAC-05-A-220-A 01 NOV 05 (ASSIST) KOTZEBUE CAP
Mission opened in response to a request for assistance from the Alaska State Troopers (AST) in Kotzebue (OTZ) to provide assistance to a distressed individual near ambler. The individual was out of food and unable to travel to Ambler to get provisions. The OTZ Civil Air Patrol (CAP) landed near the cabin and dropped off sufficient food for the individual. The OTZ CAP flew two sorties for 2.0 hours. One assist awarded.

PAC-05-A-221-S 09 NOV 05 (SAR) KENAI CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT in the Skilak Lake area. Kenai CAP was tasked and responded with a search aircraft, which localized the ELT signal to Lake Hood airstrip in Anchorage. Anchorage International Airport Security responded with a ground team, which located the non-distress ELT in a parked aircraft and secured it. Kenai CAP flew one sortie for 2.1 hours. No credits awarded.

PAC-05-A-222-S 14 NOV 05 (SAR) SEWARD CAP
Mission opened in response to SARSAT reports of an ELT in the Resurrection Bay area. The Seward CAP was tasked and responded with a ground team which located the non-distress ELT inside a residence in Seward. The ELT was secured and three SARSAT missed passes were received. The Seward CAP ground team searched for 2.5 hours and claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.

PAC-05-A-223-A 18 NOV 05 (ASSIST) KOTZEBUE CAP
Mission opened in response to a request for assistance from the AK State Troopers (AST) in Kotzebue (OTZ) to search for an overdue snowmachiner near Kobuk Lake. The OTZ CAP was tasked and responded with a search aircraft, however the overdue snowmachiner self-recovered back to OTZ. The OTZ CAP flew one sortie for 0.6 hours. No credits awarded.

PAC-05-A-224-A 19 NOV 05 (ASSIST) KOTZEBUE CAP
Mission opened in response to a request for assistance from the AK State Troopers (AST) in Kotzebue (OTZ) to search for an overdue vehicle traveling from OTZ to Buckland. OTZ CAP was tasked and responded with a search aircraft, which located the overdue vehicle and recovered the two individuals to OTZ. OTZ CAP flew four sorties for 3.5 hours. Two saves awarded.
