Mission opened in response to a request for assistance from afd dispatch to search for three o/d boaters traveling from hope to anc. Anc cap was tasked and diverted a search acft from a training mission. The o/d boaters were located stuck in the mud flats near kincaid park. They waited for the incoming tide to set their boat free from the mud, and continued on their way to anc. Anc cap flew one sortie for 3.0 hours. Three located awarded.

Mission opened in response to sarsat reports of an elt in the soldotna area. Swd cap was tasked and responded with a search aircraft, which narrowed the search to a private airstrip. Ena cap was tasked and responded with a ground team, which located and silenced the non-distress epirb at a private residence near the private airstrip. Swd cap flew two sorties for 3.9 hours. The ena cap ground team searched for 2.5 hours claiming $15.00 for expenses. No credits awarded.

Seward cap was tasked and responded with a search aircraft, which located the hikers and directed a ground team to their location. The ground team recovered the hikers to seward. Mission opened in response to an faa report of an o/d aircraft and sarsat reports of an elt 22 miles northwest of anc. Anc cap was tasked and responded with a search aircraft, which localized the source of the elt to a dirt airstrip with one non-distress airplane parked on it. They passed over the location and the elt subsequently ceased. During the mission, the faa canceled the o/d aircraft report. Anc cap flew one sortie for 2.2 hours. No credits awarded.

The fcc was then tasked and responded with a ground team, which located the non-distress elt in a private residence and secured it. The anchorage cap ground team searched for 8.2 hours, and the fcc grouns team searched for 2.0 hours. Both agencies claimed no expenses. No credits awarded.

Mission opened in response to sarsat reports of an elt near the knik glacier. Anchorage cap was tasked and responded with an aircraft which unsuccesfully attempted to locate the elt. Another elt in the area was believed to be associated with this one. Once the other non-distress elt was secured, this one went silent as well. The anc cap aircraft flew one sortie for 3.2 hours. Valdez cap was tasked and responded with a search acft, which localized the elt to an acft parked on the tazlina airstrip, but could not land due to high winds. Ast was contacted and in turn, contacted the owner to have him secure his elt. The elt subsequently ceased. Valdez cap flew one sortie for 2.5 hours. No credits awarded.

PAC-05-A-107-S 30 JUN 05 (SAR) 210TH RQS, 212TH RQS, ANCHORAGE CAP & BIRCHWOOD CAP
Mission opened in response to sarsat and acft reports of an elt near talkeetna. The 211th and 212th rqs were tasked and diverted an hc-130 with pj’s from a training flight to search. The hc-130 localized the elt signal to the talkeetna airport. Anc cap was then tasked and responded with a search acft, which reported no elt signal at talkeetna, but did localize an elt signal to an airstrip near big beaver lake. Bcv cap was finally tasked and responded with a ground team, which located and secured the non-distress elt in a hangared acft undergoing maintenance. The 211th rqs hc-130 with 212th rqs pj’s onboard flew one sortie for 0.7 hours. Anc cap flew one sortie for 2.0 hours. The bcv cap ground team searched for 1.0 hour and claimed no expenses.
