Mission opened in response to a report from Fairbanks FSS concerning an aircraft that went down near Cantwell. The Birchwood CAP was tasked and diverted an aircraft (already airborne) to search. They located the downed aircraft 1 mile from the end of the Cantwell Airstrip in a marsh. The crew hiked to the crash. They found the pilot uninjured and he had made arrangements for transportation home. The Birchwood CAP flew 1 sortie for 2.4 hours. One ASSIST was awarded.

The located 3 people standing and waving outside an aircraft on floats on a lake. They had complete electrical failure and were unable to depart. A charter on floats flew out from Bettles to recover the people. There were no injuries. The Fairbanks CAP flew 2 sorties for 9.8 hours. 3 SAVES were awarded.
