RCC also received a report of an overdue aircraft from the pilot’s wife. The pilot’s destination and the ELT plots were in the same area. The CAP aircraft located the overdue aircraft. The overdue was having float problems and could not take off. This information was passed on to his wife and she made arrangements for the recovery of the pilot and his passenger.

Mission opened in response to a composite SARSAT report of an ELT near Pt Possession. The Anchorage CAP was tasked an launched an aircraft to search. While en route to the coordinates, a civilian aircraft spotted a crashed Taylor-Craft near Little Creek. The 210th RQS was tasked and launched an HH-60. Just as the 210th RQS was taking off, Anchorage Approach diverted a civilian helicopter (Lifeguard) to the crash site. Lifeguard transported the injured pilot to Providence Hospital and the 210th RQS was diverted to another mission. The Anchorage CAP flew 1 sortie for 1.5 hours. The 210th RQS flew 1 sortie for 0.3 hours. 1 SAVE was awarded to the Anchorage CAP.
