Mission opened to assist the AST in locating an overdue snowmobiler in the Bethel area. Bethel CAP launched an aircraft to conduct the search but shortly after take-off, the overdue snowmobiler was located at Nightmute. Bethel CAP flew 2 sorties for 3.2 hours. No SAVES or ASSISTS were awarded for this NON-DISTRESS mission.

Mission opened to assist the USCG in locating an ELT in Kodiak. Kodiak CAP located the ELT in a fishing boat. Kodiak CAP searched for 2.5 hours and claimed $10.00. No SAVES or ASSISTS were awarded for this NON-DISTRESS mission.
MSN 055 21 Mar 96 (SAR) BETHEL CAP
Mission opened to locate an overdue snowmobiler in the Bethel area. Bethel CAP and Fish and Wildlife accepted the mission and searched for the individual. The individual self-recovered to a village. Bethel CAP flew 27 sorties for 64.8 hours and Fish and Wildlife flew 6 sorties for 4.8 hours. ONE ASSIST was awarded for this mission.
MSN 056 23 Mar 96 (AST ASSIST) KOTZEBUE CAP
Mission opened to assist the AST in locating an over snowmobiler in the Kotzebue Area. Kotzebue CAP launched an aircraft and located the individual. An AST ground team recovered the lost snowmobiler. Kotzebue CAP flew 5 sorties for 8.0 hours. ONE ASSIST was awarded for this mission.
MSN 057 22 Mar 96 (SAR) DELTA JUNCTION CAP and USA AV DETACHMENT
Mission opened to locate the source of an ELT in the Delta Junction area. Delta Junction CAP was unable to locate the signal, so the Army AV Det was tasked to conduct a search. Shortly after taking off, the signal ceased and RCC closed out the mission. Delta Junction CAP searched for 3.5 hours and claimed $35.32 in expenses. USA AV Det flew 1 sortie for 1.0 hours. No SAVES or ASSISTS were awarded for this NON-DISTRESS mission.
