MSN 012 2 Feb 96 (SAR) FAIRBANKS CAP
Mission opened to locate the source of an ELT in the Fairbanks area. Fairbanks CAP responded and located the ELT in a parked aircraft. Fairbanks CAP ground team searched for 2.2 hours and claimed no expenses. NO SAVES or ASSITS were awarded for this NON-DISTRESS mission.
MSN 014 8 Feb 96 (AST ASSIST) NOME CAP
Mission opened to assist the Nome AST in locating 4 overdue snowmobilers. Nome CAP responded and located the snowmobilers. Coordinates were passed to an AST helo which picked up the survivors. Nome CAP flew 1 sortie for 4.5 hours. FOUR SAVES awarded for this mission.
MSN 016 8 Feb 96 (SAR) 210th RQS and ELMENDORF CAP
Mission opened to locate the source of an ELT in the Anchorage area. 210th RQS diverted an aircraft and Elmendorf CAP launched an aircraft to locate the source. RCC received 3 missed passed and recalled all aircraft. 210th RQS flew 1 sortie for 1.9 hours and Elmendorf CAP flew 1 sortie for 1.0 hour. No SAVES or ASSISTS were awarded for this NON-DISTRESS mission.
MSN 017 9 Feb 96 (SAR) POLARIS CAP and ELMENDORF CAP
Mission opened to locate the source of an ELT in the Anchorage area. Polaris and Elmendorf CAP responded and located the ELT in a parked aircraft on Merrill Field. Elmendorf CAP flew 1 sortie for 1.9 hours and Polaris CAP ground team searched for 4.0 hours and claimed no expenses. No SAVES or ASSISTS were awarded for this NON-DISTRESS mission.
MSN 019 9 Feb 96 (AST ASSIST) ANCHORAGE CAP
Mission opened to assist the AST in checking out a possible flare sighting on Flat Top. Anchorage CAP performed the search and found no signs of distress. Anchorage CAP flew 1 sortie for 1.1 hours. No SAVES or ASSISTS were awarded for this NON-DISTRESS mission
MSN 020 10 Feb 96 (AST ASSIST) KOTZEBUE CAP
Mission opened to assist the AST in locating an overdue snowmobiler. The snowmobiler was located at Kotzebue. Kotzebue CAP flew 2 sorties for 1.8 hours. No SAVES or ASSISTS were awarded for this NON-DISTRESS mission.
MSN 022 18 Feb 96 (SAR) BRISTOL BAY CAP
Mission opened to locate the srouce of an ELT in the King Salmon area. Bristol Bay CAP responded and was unable to locate the ELT. RCC received 3 missed passes and close the mission. Bristol Bay CAP ground team searched for 1.5 hours and claimed no expenses. No SAVES or ASSISTS were awarded for this NON-DISTRESS mission.
MSN 023 19 Feb 96 (SAR) NOME CAP
Mission opened to locate the source of an ELT in the Nome area. Nome CAP responded and was unable to locate the ELT. RCC received 3 missed passes and closed the mission. Nome CAP ground team searched for 3.0 hours and claimed no expenses. No SAVES or ASSISTS were awarded.

Mission opened to locate the source of an ELT in the King Salmon area. King Salmon CAP responded and located the ELT in a parked aircraft. King Salmon CAP ground team searched for 1.5 hours and claimed no expenses. No SAVES or ASSISTS were awarded for this NON-DISTRESS mission.
MSN 025 20 Feb 96 (AST ASSIST) POLARIS CAP and ELMENDORF CAP
Mission opened to assist the AST in locating 3 overdue climbers on the Castner Glacier. Polaris CAP and Elmendorf CAP were utilized to transport the Mountain Rescue Team to Delta Junction. 3 victims were located deceased. Polaris CAP flew 2 sorties for 12.4 hours and Elmendorf CAP flew 10 sorties for 14.2 hours. No SAVES or ASSISTS were awarded for this NON-DISTRESS mission.
MSN 026 20 Feb 96 (AST ASSIST) EIELSON CAP
Mission opened to assist the AST in locating 3 overdue snowmobilers near Moose Creek. Eielson CAP responded and the overdue individuals were located en route to their home. Eielson CAP flew 1 sortie for 1.6 hours. No SAVES or ASSISTS were awarded for this NON-DISTRESS mission.
MSN 028 22 Feb 96 (AST ASSIST) BETHEL CAP
Mission opened to assist the Bethel AST in locating an overdue snowmobiler near Kotlik. Bethel CAP launched an aircraft but the individual was located by a ground team. Bethel CAP flew 1 sortie for 2.0 hours. No SAVES or ASSISTS were awarded for this NON-DISTRESS mission.

Mission opened to locate the source of an ELT in the Anchorage area. Polaris CAP responded and located the ELT in a parked aircraft at Merrill Field. Polaris CAP searched for 3.0 hours and claimed no expenses. No SAVES or ASSISTS were awarded for this NON-DISTRESS mission.

Mission opened to locate the source of an ELT in the Fairbanks area. Fairbanks CAP responded and tracked the ELT to a residential area. The CAP team believes the ELT was turned off after they knocked on the suspect’s door. The Fairbanks CAP searched for 10.0 hours and claimed no expenses. No SAVES or ASSISTS were awarded for this NON-DISTRESS mission.
