MSN 001 2 Jan 94 (SAR) ANCHORAGE CAP and POLARIS CAP
Mission opened to search for several ELTs in the Anchorage area. Anchorage CAP and Polaris CAP each launched an aircraft which located and silenced two signals; one at Flying Crown Ranch and one at Big Lake. Polaris CAP flew 2 sorties for 2.8 flying hours and Anchorage CAP flew 1 sortie for 2.4 flying hours on the NON-DISTRESS mission.

MSN 002 2 Jan 94 (USCG ASSIST) KODIAK CAP
Mission opened when Kodiak Coast Guard requested assistance in the search for an ELT in the Kodiak area. Kodiak CAP dispatched a ground crew which traced the signal to an aircraft in the process of taking off. Kodaik CAP ground crew is claiming no expenses for this mission.

MSN 003 2 Jan 94 (USCG ASSIST) VALDEZ CAP
Mission opened when Valdez Coast Guard requested assistance in the search for an ELT in the Valdez area. Valdez CAP dispatched a ground crew which was later recalled when the signal ceased. Valdez CAP is claiming no expenses for this NON-DISTRESS mission.

MSN 004 3 Jan 94 (SAR) ARCTURUS CAP
Mission opened to search for an ELT in the Anchorage area. Arcturus CAP launched an aircraft which isolated the signal to the F-15 parking ramp. Elmendorf Life Support dispatched a ground team which located and silenced the signal in a parked F-15. Arcturus CAP flew 1 sortie for 0.4 flying hours on this NON-DISTRESS mission.

MSN 005 3 Jan 94 (SAR) EIELSON CAP
Mission opened to search for an ELT in the Fairbanks area. Eielson CAP launched an aircraft but was unable to locate any signal. The RCC received three missed SARSAT passes and the mission was closed. Eielson CAP flew 1 sortie for 2.9 flying hours on this mission.

MSN 006 4 Jan 94 (SAR) BIRCHWOOD CAP
Mission opened to search for an ELT in the Anchorage area. Birchwood CAP launched an aircraft but was unable to locate any signal. The RCC received three missed SARSAT passes and the mission was closed. Birchwood CAP flew 1 sortie for 2.8 flying hours on this mission.

MSN 008 6 Jan 94 (COAST GUARD ASSIST) KODIAK CAP
Mission opened when the Kodiak Coast Guard requested assistance in the search of an ELT in the boat harbor. Kodiak CAP dispatched a ground crew which located and silenced the signal on a private boat NON-DISTRESS. Kodiak CAP ground crew is claiming no expenses for this mission.

MSN 009 12 Jan 94 (AST ASSIST) BETHEL CAP
Mission opened when Bethel AST requested assistance in the search for two overdue snowmobilers 60 miles south of Bethel. Bethel CAP launched an aircraft but was later recalled when the snowmobilers self-recovered. Bethel CAP flew 2 sorties for 1.7 flying hours on this NON-DISTRESS mission.

MSN 010 15 Jan 94 (SAR) POLARIS CAP and ANCHORAGE FCC
Mission opened to search for an ELT in the Anchorage area. Polaris CAP launched an aircraft and dispatched a ground crew along with a ground crew from the FCC to search for the signal. The signal was located and silenced in a private residence in Oceanview. Polaris CAP flew 3 sorties for 2.2 flying hours and the ground crew claimed no expenses for this NON-DISTRESS mission.

MSN 011 17 Jan 94 (SAR) 210 RQS and POLARIS CAP
Mission oened to search for an ELT and overdue aircraft approximately 65 miles NE of Anchorage. Polaris CAP and the 210th RQS launched aircraft which traced the signal to the missing aircraft. The one survivor of the crash was transported back to Providence Hospital. A total of 3 sorties for 10.0 flying hours were utilized on this mission. ONE SAVE was awarded to all parties involved.

MSN 012 18 Jan 94 (SAR) BIRCHWOOD CAP
Mission opened to search for an ELT in the Wasilla area. Birchwood CAP dispatched a total of four ground crews which located and silenced the signal in a private residence in Wasilla. The Birchwood CAP ground crew is claiming no expenses for this NON-DISTRESS mission.

MSN 013 21 Jan 94 (SAR) BIRCHWOOD CAP
Mission opened to search for an ELT in the Birchwood area. Birchwood CAP launched an aircraft and dispatched a ground crew which located and silenced the signal in a pricate residence in Birchwood. The CAP flew 1 sortie for 0.6 flying hours and the ground crew is claiming no expenses for this NON-DISTRESS mission.

MSN 014 22 Jan 94 (SAR) ANCHORAGE CAP
Mission opened to search for an ELT in the Anchorage area. Anchorage CAP disparched a ground crew which tracked the signal to an aircraft at Anchorage International Airport which the tower was in the process of silencing. Anchorage CAP ground crew is claiming no expenses for this NON-DISTRESS mission.

MSN 015 22 Jan 94 (SAR) ANCHORAGE CAP, HOMER CAP and 210th RQS
Mission opened to search for an ELT in the Anchorage area. Anchorage CAP, Homer CAP and 210th RQS launched aircraft and dispatched ground crew which located and silenced the signal in a private aircraft at Merrill field. A total of 3 sorties for 4.5 flying hours were utilized for this NON-DISTRESS mission. The ground crews are claiming no expenses for this mission.

MSN 016 23 Jan 94 (SAR) KODIAK CAP
Mission opened when Kodiak Air Station requested assistance in the search for an ELT in the Kodiak area. Kodiak CAP dispatched a ground crew, but was unable to locate the signal. The RCC received three missed SARSAT passes and the mission was closed. Kodiak CAP ground crew is claiming no expenses for this mission.

MSN 017 25 Jan 94 (SAR) DELTA JUNCTION CAP
Mission opened to search for an ELT in the Delta Junction area. Delta Junction CP dispatched a ground crew but was later recalled when the signal was located at Ft Greely. Delta Junction CAP ground crew is claiming no expenses for this NON-DISTRESS mission.

MSN 019 27 Jan 94 (SAR) DELTA JUNCTION CAP
Mission opened to search for an ELT in the Delta Junction area. Delta Junction CAP dispatched two ground crews which were later recalled when the signal ceased. The ground crews claim no expenses for this mission.

MSN 020 28 Jan 94 (SAR) ANCHORAGE CAP and ELMENDORF CAP
Mission opened to search for an ELT in the Anchorage area. Elmendorf CAP launched an aircraft and Anchorage CAP dispatched two ground crews which were unable to locate the signal. The RCC contacted the owner of the aircraft from mission #15 which confirmed the signal was his. The RCC received three missed SARSAT passes and the mission was closed. Elmendorf CAP flew 1 sortie for 1.2 flying hours and Anchorage CAP ground crews are claiming no expenses for this NON-DISTRESS.

MSN 021 31 Jan 94 (SAR) BIRCHWOOD CAP
Mission opened to search for an overdue aircraft on a VFR flight from Fire Lake to Post Lake and return. Birchwood CAP dispatched a ground crew which was recalled when the aircraft was located at Fire Lake; the pilot forgot to close his mission. Birchwood CAP is claiming no expenses for this NON-DISTRESS mission.
